Amy Smart is a former American actress and model. Amy Smart, born and raised California USA began her modelling in Italy. Her Costly Affair, a 1996 TV film that she played her first part in, was her debut role. Following a long and difficult battle to get a part, she was offered a role as "Starship Troopers" her role in Starship Troopers. The transition was difficult for Amy since she needed to move from modelling into acting. Models aren't thought of as great actors, so they usually be given smaller roles that aren't very important. Amy was determined to succeed and was eventually offered larger roles starting with The 70s, the movie Varsity Blues. After a while Amy stepped into more leading roles. She starred in the 2005 romance film Just Friends alongside Ryan Reynolds. Amy found her recognition after more than ten years of working. Amy was in several big movies in the Crank trilogy alongside Jason Statham. And she was also a regular character in The Shameless series.
