Amy Smart is a former American model and actor. She was born in California USA, Amy Smart began her modelling career there. In 1996 she made her first appearance as a actress in the TV film Her Costly Affair. It took a long time to get her into Starship Troopers in a smaller character. In the beginning, it was hard for Amy to transition from modeling to acting. The reason is that most models aren't good actors. They are typically assigned small and insignificant parts.
